“Know Thyself” is at the root of all of our religious traditions, throughout history, throughout the world.  What better way to “know thyself” than to ask the subconscious mind to reveal itself?  I didn’t know Tim, so there was a bit of a concern there, but in speaking with him over the phone, I started to trust him.
It was very useful that Tim had a New Age paradigm in place for his understanding of life; he was able to translate my issues into useful ideas like what we are here on Earth to learn on our lifetime.  He was also marvelously patient.  I was pleased with the way that Tim fused my questions into meaningful themes, and surprised to have concrete tips to work on and implement, like replacing my smart phone with a more basic model.
I had asked why I became so passive when I visited my parents.  Somehow, Tim worked this question into an exploration of why I don’t speak my truth (because my mother is so fearful), an agreement that it would be in their best interest, as well as mine, if I spoke my truth, and a resolution to speak my truth from now on.  Another point was that I wanted to know how to increase my spirituality, and also, I wanted to find out what was most important to look for in a romantic relationship.  Tim asked me to describe the characteristics of a good friendship I’d had.  With all these answers, I learned that one of the most important things to look for in a romantic relationship was a spiritual connection.
There was a running theme of getting back to nature in my session—exercise, sunshine, hiking, camping, beaches, National Parks—and while I consciously knew that this was important, I didn’t know that the steps I was taking to get to that point in life were baby steps, and that I needed to do much more.
Get yourself on a good sleep cycle in advance of the session; if you’re flying, get to NY a couple days in advance; eat a big breakfast; and read some fiction or watch a movie the night before so you are in imaginative mode.
